in bulk. This is the time when we celebrate her as a bringer of light. February 1st is in bulk here in the

northern hemisphere and it's the first of the cross quarter days, which marks the beginning of spring. We're not quite

fully into spring yet, especially not here in Wisconsin where I live. There is a little bit of snow on

the ground. It's definitely blustery and cold, but in more temperate climates like Ireland,

the British Isles, and mainland Europe, spring is definitely starting

to make its presence known by February 1st. The origins of Imbulk are connected to the lambing season

or the calving period when animals would be giving milk, and so it's the beginning of spring sewing
