He is an LA-based entertainment reporter and author and's currently covering the show each week this season

as a freelance journalist for TV Insider. Please welcome to the show, Michael Maloney. It's been a while.

It's been way too long, Cheryl. It's great to see you. How are you? I'm good. How are you?

I'm terrific. Thank you. Are you currently going to the show every week and you're still

a part of the press lane? I am. I'm freelancing for TV Insider again, which is terrific. And we're

going out onto the ballroom floor every week after the show to talk to everybody. It's fantastic.

What's the energy like in there? You know, the energy is really, really positive. I say this every season, but when I first

see the list of people participating in which pros are back, and I'm kind of like, oh, okay,

but last season, you know, I really like last season. And within two episodes, I'm in love

with everybody and I'm rooting for everybody. I will say that the energy this season among everybody is really positive.

Reggie and Eric had so much love with them. There was none of this. Why are they still here? It was just nothing but love for them, which I thought was terrific.

What was your thoughts on Anna Delvey when she was competing?

I thought she and Ezra really hit it off well and they seemed good for each other.

And when I asked her the first night, I said, well, what does the ankle monitor do?
