Time to break out some headlines once again. Some might wonder why we do headline programs on Stand Up, and the answer is straightforward: Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:2-3 “But He answered and said to them, ‘When it is evening you say, “It will be fair weather for the sky is red,” and in the morning, “there will be a storm today for the sky is red and threatening. Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky but cannot discern the signs of the times?” Being alert and sober covers so much of our walk with the Lord, day after day – and prophecy is certainly part of that. As hard as it is to look at what the world is up to, we should at least have some idea of the bigger stories so we can continue to watch and prepare our hearts for His return. So today we will catch up on the world’s treatment of Israel and how God deals with that. Another fascinating headline has to do with Ezekiel 38 and those “horsemen” that are mentioned. If Russia’s army will be on horseback, how do we reconcile that with a high tech world that has completely altered the landscape of how the nations go to war? What is a Cossack anyway?
