0:26.0	launching us into the weekend with events that, as ever,
0:29.0	are shaping America and the world.
0:32.0	We begin with domestic news this morning starting with the US economy.
0:36.7	That's because in the next few hours we will get a better sense of inflation in America.
0:41.0	The government is slated to release the latest numbers regarding the
0:44.0	personal consumption expenditures index, or PCE index. That'll paint the story of how
0:50.8	money folks out there are earning and spending their cash on various
0:54.1	goods. Expectations are that this number will remain flat, we'll see, but in the
0:59.4	meantime we have a few indicators that you should know about regarding the state of our economic union this morning.
1:05.0	And we will start with one of my favorites, coffee.
1:08.0	As you may have noticed, coffee prices are going up lately and they are about to go much, much higher. Part of the issue was
1:15.3	weather in Vietnam and Brazil, drought and heat conditions are hammering coffee
1:19.8	plants in both of those nations. Another reason is a new set of regulations and Europe.
1:25.0	Buyers and roasters there have to prove that their beings came from lands that have not been
1:29.6	deforested recently.
1:31.6	Those new rules start in just a couple of weeks so buyers in
1:34.2	Europe are rushing to purchase as much coffee as they possibly can right now and
1:38.8	that is crimping supply pushing up prices. Finally we've got commodity traders, they are also pushing up prices.
