This is an email from Richard. He writes, my wife and I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Recently, I listened to your Halloween podcast about a man that bought property on Lake Watchtall,

and who had a visit from the big guy.

Watchtaw Lake is about 15 miles from where we live as the crow flies.

Lake Watchtaw, I've been on that lake before.

That's the clearest lake I have ever been on.

We went in the summertime we were skiing and swimming and jumping off cliffs and stuff like that.

And you can see like 30 feet down. You can see fish 30 feet down swimming around. So very clear lake. Anyway, back to the story.

We live in a heavily wooded area near the National Forest. The plots of land were sold in sizes ranging from 3 to 10 acres.

We have a wide variety of wildlife and a large creek runs through our property.

It's not uncommon to have white-tailed deer in our yard, and occasionally wild turkey can be spotted too.

It is truly beautiful country to live in. But during the summer we have the thick green shield around our house to protect us from the outside world.

We're far enough from the road that we rarely hear traffic aside from the occasional Jake break of a large truck coming over the hill.

In the summer of 2003 I worked a shift at a factory 55 miles away.

It could take up to an hour and a half to drive each way. My chef

started at 5 a.m. so I was getting to bed around 7 p.m. and back up again at 2 a.m.

to go to work. It was late June when my wife was out in the yard trying to

coax our cat to come inside. He's a large furry black cat who I named Harley

because I've always wanted a Harley soft tail.

At 8 p.m. it was still daylight, but the sun was low in the western sky and it was shining through the trees in our woods.

We have a 20 foot by 20 foot deck on the back of our house that our cat had snuck under to hide.

My wife, an animal lover, who is devoted to that cat, didn't want him outside all night by
