some news. They signed two wide receivers for Axton Barrios, potential kick returner, punt

returner type to compete with Deontte Banks and Calvin Austin. And then Odell Beckham Jr. is returning to the New York Giants. It's been talked about for a while. It's been discussed. He was at the Brian Burns softball game this past weekend. Kind of hinted like it's almost a done deal. Worked out again for the Giants. I was surprised they needed a second workout. But maybe just kind of a check-in to see where he was at. They felt good enough. and they signed him to a contract last played with the giant. Giants Nick in 2018. Obviously, anyone listening to this podcast is well aware of who he is

and what he was able to accomplish from 2014 to 2018. Just absolutely phenomenal numbers from a

statistical standpoint, from a film standpoint, from an everything football standpoint, all field stuff clouded the end of his tenure with the Giants. But how are you feeling about his return to the Giants now? I like it, man. Look, it's, like, how old is he at this moment? I think O'Dell Beckham Jr. is going to be 33 years old. He's getting up there. So he's not, you know, the spring chicken. We all know this. We know the injuries that he's dealt with. We also know that, and this was a little bit, a little while ago, but when he was with the Rams, he was very impactful for them winning that Super Bowl. Like Robert Woods, Bobby Trees went down with that injury, and he stepped in and he would have been possibly the Super Bowl MVP if he didn't care his ACL and since then he's just kind of bounced around was on the Raven so he has the horrible connection I like having him here but I'm not expecting a ton from Odell Beckham Jr. Right. Like whatever we get for Modell Beckham Jr. is gravy. I'm not even 100% certain if he'll make this roster. But if you're asking me, hey, Nick, would you rather get like 15 to 20

snaps from Odell Beckham Jr? or do you want to run Jalen Hyatt out there again? I'm going to be like, no, let's get Odell Beckham Jr. out there. I think he can still win these one-on-one matchups and take advantage of, take advantage of one-on-one coverage if Malik Neighbors is back. And now that's the whole, I think that's the interesting part of this conversation is right.

When is Malik neighbors going to be back?

And this might be one of the reasons why the Giants were enticed to go out and sign Odell Beckham Jr. Is maybe there is a little bit of uncertainty on when exactly Malik Neighbors will be back. So just add more and more talent to this roster to see

if you can just field an 11 personnel package that is going to be still somewhat explosive.

That's another question is how explosive is O'Dell Beckham Jr. It's not, I don't look at this

as like, oh, this is absolutely amazing from an effectiveness standpoint. I just think it's very cool.

The Giants, it's a full circle moment for O'Dell Beckham Jr. And he gets to come in. And I still think he might have something to offer the Giants in a limited capacity because, again, he is a little bit older and he does have that extensive injury history. Yeah. And from the all field standpoint, I think I agree with you. There's something exciting about it. There's something cool about it.

And I think John Harbaugh made it clear, like, I believe in O'Dell Beckham, Jr. As an all-field player, as a leader for this locker room, as somebody who can help a young wide receiver court, it's not just Malik Neighbors who's entering year three and didn't really have a year two of his NFL career. both you and i believe like while neighbors was unbelievably special on tape both at lSU and with the

giants there's one area of his game that can improve. It's his release package off on his scrimmage and it's his route running. It's the things that Odo Beckham can teach him how to improve on, even at the catch point some of the things and the concentration drops he's had, you know, just little things like that. A veteran like go to Beckham can help improve that off the field. But Harba also mentioned he's just one of his favorite people he's ever coached because I think there's a misconception with Beckham. Look, the end of his tenure with the Giants was not great off the field. He made some mistakes. He had that interview with Justina Anderson and Lil Wayne. That was not good. And in addition to that, I just think he let the limelight get to him a Anderson and low Wayne that was not good and in addition to that I

just think he let the limelight get to him a little bit personally and he was a mature I think he was

immature he was young and dude this guy got thrusted into the line because when the giant

drafted a road I was like yeah we got this guy that's cool and then he was hurt throughout training
