And it was on the 24th of June 2003, that six military policemen from 156 Provost Company were killed in Iraq.

There's a special ceremony unfolding a little bit later today, which we will be catching up with and crossing to live shortly after 12 noon.

Not going to garner much media attention, and we're not doing it for any reason

other than because we can. And I happen to know a couple of the people involved. But it was

quite timely to hear the talk there in the news, the story there in the news about military veterans.

But that is coming up much later. In the program, we begin, as we must, in Honiton and Tivetton,

the constituency which has just seen the biggest ever overturn of a majority

and a couple of Tories.

I mean, I wonder what the phone calls were like this morning,

because Dowden was supposed to be doing the rounds.

I'll let you have this one for free, all right? The first casualty of Oliver Dowden's confected culture war is Oliver Dowden. He was supposed to be doing the rounds this morning. You'll remember that last week or the week before, when was the vote of no confidence or the vote of confidence, depending on which way up your egg timer is. He was one of the people talking absolute twaddle about vaccines in Ukraine, which we'll get onto in a moment, and why that was why he was offering his full, um, throated support to Boris Johnson, who gets all the big calls right.

That means he was lying, yeah?

Because if you read Oliver Dowden's resignation letter, and I may, if I can bring myself to,

and I can actually stomach it, I'll point out that all of the complaints he's making were all true

when he looked down the barrel of a camera lens and claimed that Boris Johnson was brilliant

and he was supporting him and he was getting all the big

calls right. That means he was lying then. Unless he's had a massive change of mind about Boris Johnson's

performance as Prime Minister and what he describes in his letter as recent events, then when he
