This happened at the end of July, and I'm talking to Caitlin Ross at WXIA 11 Live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Caitlin, the last time we talked, we talked about another big, tragic case in the Atlanta area,

a woman who was murdered in Piedmont Park in Atlanta.

But this happened on the exact same day and is also one that has just really, I think,

shocked and stunned a lot of people, right?

And both of the murders happen in large, well-known family

parks. So you can definitely see how people drew comparisons between the two. Tell me about this case.

On July 28th, the body of this 18-year-old woman was discovered, right? In a park? Correct. So she had been a shot, found in a park, and she had just graduated high school.

She was an honors student. She was beloved by her community. She was a mentor for a lot of other

young people in her community. And she was the only child of her parents who said that she was

just the absolute apple of their eye.

She had seen her parents earlier that evening and they assumed she was out with friends doing her own thing

and by the next morning police found her body. I saw a post about the pictures of her tattoos
