So this has been a big week for us at Heartland College Sports Weekly, part of

0:04.2

Heartlandcollege sports.com, because we also released our all big 12 team and also did our

0:10.8

picks to win the conference. Let's start there. I'm Pete Mundo. Great to be with you guys as we

0:16.9

are starting to feel like the season is getting here. You know, you got media days,

0:21.1

preseason polls that's getting here. So here's what the Heartland College sports staff decided

0:26.3

in our preseason Big 12 football poll. And that is that the Oklahoma Sooners will win the

0:33.3

conference this year and will face Iowa State in a rematch of the 2020 Big 12 conference

0:40.4

championship game when the two teams meet at AT&T Stadium where Big 12 Media Days is taking place

0:46.8

later this year. So those were the one-two and it was a consensus one-two by the Heartland

0:53.6

College sports staff. And then three to six was a very

0:57.1

close race. All these teams, all four teams came within six votes of each other, showcasing to me

1:04.0

the depth in this conference. TCU was our third pick. Oklahoma State fourth, Texas Texas 5th, West Virginia, 6th.

1:14.1

And this order could have gone anyway a couple of votes here and there.

1:19.5

Oklahoma State was just, just missed out on that three spot by a vote.

1:24.0

TCU edged them out. Then it was Texas at five, West Virginia at six. Kansas State was the

1:30.1

consensus number seven pick, as were the Baylor Bears coming in at number eight, and Texas Tech

1:36.5

in the nine spot followed by Kansas. So everybody had seven through 10 the same in K-state,

1:42.3

Baylor, Texas Tech, and Kansas.

1:45.5

So once again, one through 10 in the Big 12 for our preseason poll for Heartland

1:49.8

College Sports.com.

1:52.4

Oklahoma, Iowa State, TCU, Oklahoma State, Texas, West Virginia, Kansas State,

1:58.8

Baylor, Texas Tech, and Kansas. Now, Texas, West Virginia, Kansas State, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Kansas.
