And you are listening to James O'Brien on LBC, where, well, when we bid each other farewell, as I said a moment ago on Friday, I was probably 52-48% of the view that Matt Hancock would survive for one reason.

And I think one reason only, and that is that Boris Johnson will not countenance any member of his government, whether elected politicians or

appointed advisors, having to fall upon their sword or indeed be shown the door, that still hasn't

happened.

Be under no illusions.

Johnson wanted Hancock to stay as a consequence of their actions. They will not be defenestrated

and they will not be required to undertake a form of ritual professional suicide. And I'm very,

very keen in understanding today why you think that is. I have you will not be massively

surprised to hear. I have my own theories and my own

ideas about why that will be. But I would really like to hear yours. And I suppose the more

nuanced, or the less obvious perhaps they are, the more interesting they may be, not necessarily,

but they may be. And again, you'll be aware that in the context of Brexit, I'm required to put

£10 in a charity box every time I utter the words I told you so, but only in the context of Brexit.
