Good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. We have two. The first service is the Bible

prophecy update and the second service is the sermon, which is a verse by verse study through the Bible.

We're currently in the amazing book of Hebrews, and I say amazing because it is amazing. And last week we finished chapter 10, so we're going to pick it up in chapter 11.

And only three verses today.

You'll see why you know these verses well.

And so I'll ask those of you that are here if you're able to stand.

You can follow along as I read.

If not where you're seated is fine.

Just follow along beginning in verse 1, where the writer of Hebrews by the Holy Spirit writes,

now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the

ancients were commended for. By faith, verse three, we understand that the universe was formed at God's command so that what is seen

was not made out of what was visible.

All right, let's pray if you would please join with me. Father in heaven,

thank you so much. Lord, would you at this time, just as only you can and are always faithful

to settle our hearts and quiet our minds so we can give you our undivided attention in this time

that we have together here in your word, especially with this passage, these verses here in chapter 11,

Lord. We need for the Holy Spirit to open

the eyes of our understanding because we don't want to miss what it is that you desire

to speak into our lives today, especially when it comes to faith, especially in these times

in which we are living. Lord, thank you in advance for what you're going to do as we commit

this time to you. In Jesus' name, amen. And amen.
