Summary

What should have been a peaceful weekend at Grandma’s house turns into a horrifying overnight ordeal when something uninvited slips into the bedroom. Desperate to remain undetected, our storyteller pretends to be asleep – until an unseen weight presses into the bed beside them, and everything about that room becomes suddenly sinister. When morning comes, the kitchen cabinets are wide open and the old oven’s manual timer has been set to go off at exactly 3 A.M., fueling suspicions of a demonic hour.

0:28.1	My name is Samantha. I'm calling from Georgia. I just wanted to call and tell you guys a little
0:34.9	story. I listen to your podcast regularly and big fan of the show.
0:40.3	This particular incident happened in 2009, and I was away at college.
0:46.8	While I was away, my mom had purchased a new home,
0:51.2	and I was coming home for the weekend,
0:54.1	and I'd gotten noticed that all of my family,
0:58.2	they were all going to be out of town.
1:00.1	And so I really wasn't comfortable staying in my new house, my mom had purchased.
1:05.8	So I decided that I would stay at my grandmother's residence while they were gone.
1:11.8	So at some point throughout the night, you know, I was getting ready for bed and they lived in, like, in 1970s, you know, kind of three-level house, but it's a split-level home.
1:25.6	They, you know, built it from hand, so nobody prior has lived there, and anything that
1:31.1	happened there had to have, you know, followed me there.
1:34.1	But I'd gone upstairs, and I remember thinking to myself, like, well, I'm going to leave
1:40.7	the hall light on, you know, that way if anything happens or anything comes in the bedroom, anybody comes in the bedroom, that's very precaution.
1:50.2	Anybody comes in the bedroom, like I would see, you know, I'd see the door, the light open into the door or the, you know, door open, I'd hear it.
1:57.8	Well, that night I was laying down, and the way their bedroom was laid out, I slept in my grandmother's bed, the way the bedroom was laid out is I was asleep on their king-sized bed, and at the foot of the bed, directly at foot of the bed was in like an armwarr where they had their TV.
2:14.3	And if you're facing now, if you're laying in the bed facing the TV, immediately on the left would be their like walk-in bathroom area.
2:23.9	And it was like kind of long and narrow.
2:26.7	And the door would be to the left of the TV.
