The son of the Kung-Fu legend Bruce Lee

was filming another martial arts movie

when a gun rigged with blanks somehow fired a projectile and

Lee was hit in the stomach. Just what went wrong on the set is still not clear. Lee was holding a grocery bag rigged with an explosive

charge to simulate a bullet hit. The gun was supposed to fire a blank, but

something hit Lee in the stomach. He died a few hours later from what doctors said

looked like a bullet wound. What appeared to be a 44 caliber bullet was

removed from Lee's body. Detectives are proceeding with the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
