Right, we've all just watched a speech from Kirstama. Here's a bit of what he said.

The longstanding British position is that the best way forward for the regime and the world

is a negotiated settlement with Iran where they give up their nuclear ambitions.

Now that's why I took the decision that the UK would not join the initial strikes on Iran by the US and Israel.

Now that decision was deliberate. It was in the national interest. And I stand by it.

Obvious question to start. What is he trying to say with his statement and why has he made it?

We know he's been under increasing criticism from other countries, from Donald Trump. There's some intrigues swirling around about opinion within his own cabinet

and the influence it's had on him.

What's going on? Why now?
