I'm Pastor Mike Winger and this is Bible Thinker the program dedicated to thinking

biblically about everything. Okay we're going to start something different than what we've done in the past on Sunday nights and I'll get into some of the details of it

towards the end of tonight's message, but basically we're going to be talking about

evidence for the Bible and I want to unpack this these things slowly and I want to do it in a way

that hopefully because I'll give you enough detail,

it will be something where you'll actually have something you can grab and share with others

that I think will be impactful and helpful.

And it will also be a great resource on the internet for when it's put up on YouTube for people to use and they're doing their own research.

So in my preparation for this thinking like I want to talk about evidence for the Bible so I thought a good way to start

would be let's ask the question has God spoken like do we before we get to the Bible

specifically has God spoken in general has God spoken

because now you might say well you should start back even further than that Mike you should say is there a

God and I would say well since my direction is going

towards the Bible right now that's a whole other slew of arguments and I'm

actually very convinced by the philosophical arguments for God's existence in other words the reasons to believe in God's existence. In other words, the reasons to believe

in God's existence, you know? The moral argument, morality, offers us wonderful

evidence to believe in God. And there's the uncaused cause concept and that's very rational to me.

Aruments from design, from both the macro things like the universe as well as the

intricate little tiny micro machines that are going on inside your body.

That stuff from micro to macro that or another way to put it is the argument from common sense.

Like you just don't look at the universe and the world around you and think

total accident. That's just, you know, it's not natural to do that and science seems to support the idea that that would not be
