The field stretch wide, golden beneath the heavens.

There is a stirring, a quiet urgency, deep in the soil of our souls.

Jesus once walked among the weary, saw their confusion and felt their helplessness.

With eyes full of compassion, he spoke, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Can you hear it? The call that echoes through eternity.

The same call, still calling. The fields are ripe.

But what of the hands that will gather, what of the hearts

that will weep as he wept? We stand not at the beginning, but in the midst of a harvest

waiting to be brought in. We are those hands, the hands he prayed for, the hands he sends.

The hands he sends. I was always an anxious kid.

I was always a little bit on edge.
