Now, look, listen, look guys, I wanted to start by saying thank you to a chap called

Ian Deely, who is a listener and who pops up on our respective Twitter feeds quite a lot.

He does, and he's a good guy.

He's a good guy, and he's a particularly good guy, because last week's show was rescued

from being deeply irritating by Ian, Ian is a professional audio producer for the BBC.

And so when I discovered that I cocked up last week, because I used a adapter thing to

record through, plugged the mic into an adapter so I could have power and mic in the same

way, because I've got one of those solo anus Macs that doesn't have any outputs for

it.

Yeah, but it had an adapter, so I plugged that in, but I think it was the adapter that caused

this really annoying high pitched wine on the whole recording.

You didn't tell me this?

No, I thought it best to keep it from you because it was my fault.

I think I could fix it.

So I started blithering about in the settings, trying to get rid of it, and I sort of

did a bit, but to do it, I had sort of fairly, as audio engineers like Ian would probably

call us a fairly aggressive EQ on it, which makes everything sound a bit odd.

And so I, as Americans would say, reached out to Ian, knowing what he does for a living,

and there's no any way that he would give me some advice on how to sort this, and he

went send me the raw recording, and I'll run it through some proper hardcore technology.
