Did Lockhart wipe Quarrel's memory?

But just here recently in our podcast through the Griffin door

we were running through his many text when a thought occurred to us.

Blackheart is said to have taken all of his stories from other far more capable wizards, which means that while

Gilderoy himself is of course a fraud, they did still happen somewhere to begin with.

Lockhart would just famously track down the real hero of the story

wipe their own memory and take the story as his own using his golden locks and

flare for business to popularize the acts of heroism.

One big question though that we are left with is whether or not we've ever met any of the

actual heroes from the tales that Lockhart has spun.

Like they just simply don't remember

that they're the subject of his stories

because they don't remember it.

And I actually think there is one amazing candidate

and he happens to be one of the very first people Harry meets upon entering the Wizarding world.
