My guest today on the podcast is Harry Campbell, the ride chair guy. We're going to be talking about the

breakneck pace of developments in the Roboaxy Space, some of the latest partnerships, among other things.

Waymo is doing 250,000 trips a week, and that sounds like a ton, but Uber is doing 30 million trips a day around the globe, maybe 10 million in the United States.

So they're really still operating on kind of different levels. But first, we've got to look at today's headlines from around the mobility realm. For that, I am joined by my colleague, Molly Boygan. Molly, how are you today? I'm doing well, thanks, Pete. How are you? I'm doing good. I know you're fresh off a red eyes. So in the spirit of talking about... Fresh is how I would describe it.

Yes.

Well, in the spirit of talking about transportation in all things in that realm,

how is that experience?

Yeah, you know, it was okay. I have to say in general,

my flying experience, and this is not like a sponsored ad, but my

flying experience has been transformed by the foot hammock, which people have maybe seen all over

social media, but it did not do the trick this time. I really do not sleep much at all on the red

eye. But you know what? It's the weekend and I'll catch up as always.

Excellent. Well, before we venture off, let's talk about some of the big headlines in the transportation and mobility space. And, you know, maybe that starts first and foremost with a project that we both worked on.

Automotive News ran a big project this week about the state of software

defined vehicles and you spearheaded a lot of that coverage. So what, what does you learn

while working on this set of stories? Yes, there were three stories that I wrote out of the

package, which is very interesting and people should certainly check it out. So one of them was

about kind of a status update to say that the auto industry has sort of started to pull back

in some areas rather than trying to kind of do it all and own the full software stack,

which experts told me is actually a sign that the industry is moving forward on
