So today I kind of wanted to talk about the Michigan Senate race, right?

And specifically the Michigan Senate race as this sort of microcosm for ads in the current political economy.

And I swear to God, every single ad that I've been seeing from both Mike Rogers and Alyssa Slokin that isn't about abortion,

big topic in Michigan, has been either focused on immigration or uses immigrants as some

sort of sticking point of an attack, right?

Both of them?

Literally, that's why it's been crazy because every Alyssa Slotkin ad is something like,

hi, I'm Alyssa Slokin. I did two

years in Afghanistan with the CIA and that I am also the most anti-immigrant representative.

I've personally sponsored bills that would completely shut down the southern border. And then on the

sort of flip side of the ad spend on the other side of the aisle, if you will, you have Mike Rogers.

Almost every single Mike Rogers ad that I've seen is either, Alyssa Slotkin is a radical open border illegal immigrant lover or my personal favorite.

Alyssa Slotkin is bad on the economy.

Why? Because as a representative, she voted to give lazy radical illegals,

free housing, free money, free jobs, and free health care. And that's not what Michigan needs.

It's like 75% of the ads that I see from both of them. It's absolutely ridiculous. I cannot stand

that this entire election from top to bottom, from top of the ticket all the way down to local elections is defined by fucking immigration. What are we doing? It's insane. And it's even crazier here in Michigan, right? And I don't know if that's just been my ad experience because I live in like a red county and maybe ads are targeted differently.

I don't even know if that's how that works right. But above all that, yes, Michigan is a border

state, but that's the wrong border. That is not the, um, I can't stand it, man. A few months ago,

I was seeing this Alyssa Slotkin. No, it was a, it was an attack ad on Alyssa Slotkin. I'm probably from Mike Rogers. And it said, man. A few months ago, I was seeing this Alyssa Slotkin. No, it was an attack ad on Alyssa Slotkin.
