Hey everybody, it's a sad day because we lost another great one.

Writer, director, actor, and all-around good dude, Harold Ramos, passed away at the age of 69.

I'm looking at his IMDB page, and the man had an incredible career.

He wrote four, count them four,

of the American Film Institute's 100 funniest movies.

That's right.

He had a hand in Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day,

National Apood's Animal House,

I almost just called it Animal House,

and Caddyshack.

And he directed two of those.

He also co-wrote meatballs, stripes, back to school,

the kinds of movies that I would watch over and over again in my youth,

memorizing lines of dialogue to recite with my friends.

So I got that going for me, which is nice.

He directed Stewart Saves His Family,

a movie based on an S&L sketch

that had no business being turned into a movie,

but somehow he made it work.

Analyze This is very funny.

The only thing I don't like about Analyze This is Analyze that, the sequel,

but he didn't mess around with sequels too much.
