I'm Hello again, friends, and welcome back to another edition of the 605 super podcast.

This being a very special edition, a tribute to the legendary Harley Race,

who just passed away recently. I am the great Brian Last. It's my pleasure to be with you once again,

and joining me here today to talk about Harley Race, and we have a bunch of really great segments

to play for you. Is your friend in mind, you know him from Wrestling Observer Live, Mike Semper Veevi.

Hey, thank you for having me on.

Too bad it couldn't be under more bright circumstances, but in every dark cloud, there's a silver lining.

And Harley Race's passing is very sad.

It's an air of wrestling that is slowly but surely slipping away from all of us.

But with his passing, we now get to rebel in what he did and what his life was about.

And if there's anybody that lived a very full life from the time he came out of the womb, it was one Harley race.

From beating polio to

becoming NWA World Heavyweight Champion eight times, from everything in between and everything

that came after, a fantastic life and a fascinating man. And we're going to try to talk about as much

of that as we can here today, of course. He had such longevity in his career, and he went to so many different places.

We're not going to be able to touch on each and everything this week, but we're going

to try to do an overall encapsulation on the career and the life of Harley Race.

What we did was, over the past week, I've had several conversations with a few friends

of the show about Harley Race.
