| 0:18.8 | So in the early 1990s, people proposed that you could split garlic into two subspecies and they |
| 0:26.7 | based this on a garlic's ability to bolt the ones that bolted were called Allium sativum subspecies |

| 0:38.8 | And the ones that did not bolt were called Allium satum, subspecies sativum. |
