So this is the 2024 International Women's Day episode of the podcast.

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated. of the and it brings attention to topics such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

It's part of Women's History Month, which is the entire month of March, and to celebrate

we're bringing more voices of women in the Pokemon community on for this special episode.

We're going to be here talking about our experiences with Pokemon, what got us into Pokemon in the first place, and how it's a part of all of our lives.

And with that, we can kind of just have this conversation.

Hello.

I always like starting with where it began for each of us, so I do really want to just sort of ask how each of you got into Pokemon and what your first memory of

Pokemon is and whether that kind of ties in that kind of thing.

Yeah, so I can start with that.

My first Pokemon game was a Pokemon silver.

So I started with Gen 2. My first started with Cyndiquil.

Didn't really get into it at first. I didn't get like video games at first and then silver and crystal I had both and then I really

hit my stride with Generation 3. Sapphire is still like my favorite main series game but I played a lot of silver and crystal and

I love all three of the Joto starters I think they're really fun I think that it's unfortunate that like they're never really viable and

competitive because they don't have like dual typing but for

Aligator just got buffed in Pokemon Go, so that's nice for context.
