Hello and welcome everyone to Happy Hour once again.

And, yeah, wonderful to be, to be practicing together.

Always it warms my heart, as I was saying at the beginning when we say hello and where

we're zooming in from, sense of, yeah, the Sangha, our common humanity coming from different places in the world,

in this time, in this format, a time that has never been, will never be again.

And, yeah, this is this deep appreciation for us coming together and practicing.

So I want to bring that to what I just

mentioned, this theme of appreciating what is, appreciating what is in light of impermanence.

Because sometimes our relationship to impermanence can be one of fear, ah, it's all impermanence because sometimes our relationship to impermanence can be one of fear.

Ah, it's all impermanence going away. And yet, and yet, there's also this other side of the

coin of impermanence that while it's here, it needs to be appreciated. Instead of just being taken

for granted of wanting more.

If we don't appreciate what is, how can we appreciate more?

So turning our appreciation gaze at what is, through the lens of impermanence,

appreciation, gratitude,

Mudita for ourselves,

vicarious joy for the happiness of others,

and vicarious joy for the happiness of ourselves

becomes the practice of mudita.
