Any new parent will tell you that navigating parental leave benefits can be confusing and anxiety

inducing. In fact, employee benefits company Unum recently surveyed new parents and found that 43% of them

never met with their employer to discuss their benefits prior to going on leave.

An additional 35% said they didn't understand some of the key employee benefits being offered at their workplace.

You guys, we have made it to the month of June. Happy happy June.

Happy summer break to all you teachers to all you students to all you college girls and mama's with school a kids.

Happy regular Wednesday June 5th to all of the other people who are still doing their regular everyday life.

You know, I think summer can be it can be hard for women in so many ways either you're a college student and now you're having to take on a job.

Or you're a student and now you're just have all this free time or you're a mama who has.

Structure when your kid you're in school and now they're out of school or you look so forward to summer and you cannot wait to experience everything with your kids or you're a woman who works and so June 5th is no different than May 5th for you.

Whatever your summer looks like, I hope that you take some time to enjoy the people around you. I know that looks different for everybody, but I just want to encourage you to look around and see those moments where you can enjoy people and not just things where you can enjoy the people you're with and not just what you're doing.

That's my little happy June encouragement to you. We are on our way to our first family summer fun trip. We're going to Northwest Arkansas.

For Aaron and I to hang out with Amy and Sam Hannon.

Aaron and I are cooking at Unime's on Friday and Saturday night and when I say Aaron and I are cooking you all know what I really mean.

It means Aaron's cooking and Amy will be cooking and Jamie. Well, I'm just going to be there having fun with everyone else, but we are so excited to be going up to Unime's and spending some spending two nights with some awesome people in Northwest Arkansas. We're bringing our whole kids along. We're going to have

our first road trip of the summer. So that's what we're doing the day this airs. We're going to be so excited to see everybody that we get to see in Northwest Arkansas. So if you're going to be there, please come say hi.
