Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Friday evening of the show. I pushed it back today. I think you know why now, right?

We're going to talk about this young man a lot. Not just today, but in the years ahead, it's Chris Parson Commitment Day, and it went exactly as we expected and as we hoped. So we're going to break

that down today and talk about what it means to Mississippi State, what his game means to the

air raid offense. We're going to talk a little bit about LSU. We're going to talk about maybe some

things that are to come and I got a special top 10 list for today.

Because it's Chris Parson Day.

We didn't let Chris pick the list.

Maybe in the future we will.

Maybe.

I will share with you that we did have practice today.

We're going to talk about that too.

I know like sometimes that gets lost in the middle

of all the excitement. It's like, hey, you know, this is all details of a bigger story, right?

He's committing to us. You know, games are won and loss on a recruiting trail, but they're not

at the press conference. You know, this is like a means to a bigger end. We get a elite player to join our football

program in hopes of us winning more games and then ultimately getting more elite football

players. It's a cycle, right? But we didn't practice football today. We didn't practice long,

though. And some of that, I honestly believe, Nobody said this. I think the staff wanted to watch

the announcement. I do. And there's video evidence of it out there of Leach and them on a

tablet watching Chris Parsons commit to Mississippi State. I don't suspect it was a surprise to anybody.
