Hey there, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. Today I wanted to share three quick and easy

spring decluttering tips that will help your home feel happier. Often we look around our homes and

feel like, oh, there's so much to do and so much out of place and how can I do it all? And we spiral down

into overwhelm. And that's not what we want.

So what I want you to do is easy. First, walk around the house with a basket or a tote or a box

of some sort and collect any lingering winter decor. That snowman mug or the snowflake cling on a window or any lingering

Christmas decorations or holiday decorations and put them away. That alone will start to shift the

energy in your home towards thoughts of growth, which is what we celebrate in the spring.

Tip number two. Thinking about spring and growth, I like the smell of lemon or wild orange

essential oil in every room. Throw open the windows for maybe five minutes, kind of get some

fresh air in, and then also walk

around and add a little drop of lemon or wild orange essential oil to fabric on the corner of a

pillow or behind a curtain or on a flower bouquet, wherever you can put it and get that smell

just rolling through your home. It's so uplifting. In fact, wild orange is very energizing. So just the smell of it alone

boosts your mood. The final one is the bigger one, but your first two steps should have

boosted your mood a bit. Just walk around and fill at least one basket with things you haven't used in the past year.

Donate them to Goodwill or wherever else you like to donate and let them go.
