This morning, I was struck as I was reading the newspapers that the headlines are not as much about COVID, although there are many headlines on COVID, but more focused on what's going on in Afghanistan because this weekend we have witnessed something that we hoped we might never see.

And that is the Taliban overwhelming the capital of Afghanistan.

And that, of course, will ensure that on the 20th anniversary of 9-11, the Taliban flag is going to flutter over the U.S. embassy in Kabul, an embassy that cost the U.S. taxpayer hundreds of millions of dollars.

I was thinking about what that flag actually represents.

It represents an Islamic juggernaut, a juggernaut that is bent on the enforcement of Islamic law, not only in Afghanistan,

but beyond Afghanistan.

And why is this?

It is because Taliban actually means students.

Students of what?

Well, students of the Quran and the Sunnah.

A Quran, a Quran that mandates war against the infidel.

I think even now as I speak about Quran 929, if you've never read it before,

it's worth reading. Essentially, it says that the Islamic faithful are to fight those who do not

believe in law until, well, until they are humbled, humbled,

quite a word. I fear that that is precisely what is happening. A once proud America, a once proud

nation under God, is being humble, maybe humiliated.

The mantra in America has been that Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance. I heard Barack Obama say that over and over

again, but it's not true. We'll see what kind of tolerance, little girls and their mothers,

what kind of tolerance is expressed for women. little girls and their mothers.
