I was struck this morning by a headline that pointed out that in a recent Gallup poll,

belief in God has hit an all-time low among Americans.

In fact, the lowest level in 78 years.

Also noted was the reality that church attendance has fallen precipitously.

Little wonder then that our current vice president now pontificates that Christians can support abortion without transgressing Christian principles.

She's either ignorant or incorrigibly dishonest.

And all the while there seems to be little pushback on organizations like

Jane's Revenge, which allegedly takes credit for pro-abortion, terrorism, and

virulent intimidation tactics. Tactics which are our current speaker of the House not only does not condemn, but

uses as one more opportunity to push and promote her pro-abortion agenda.

And meanwhile, it's open season on pro-life justices, which the present administration neither condemns nor prohibits.

Instead, demonstrations against the wise children and justices themselves continues unabated,

with our current precedent going so far as to gleefully anticipate a mini-revolution

if states regain the right to vote on abortion once again.

Well, it's one thing to curse the darkness.

It's another to build a lighthouse in the midst of the gathering storm.

I said it before and it bears repeating. The problem is not pagans. They're going to exercise their job description.

The real problem is Christians who are not exercising their job description. The real problem is Christians who are not exercising their job description

to be salt and light,

as opposed to simply being non-existent in the midst of an unfolding tragedy.

The church has to wake up.
