engage in this conversation.

I am about to engage in a conversation that I'm excited about for a variety of reasons one of which is I do not know my guest

Hank Steinberg at all. I mean I know his work. He at a young age he wrote 61, the great HBO movie starring Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane about Mickey

Mantel and Roger Maris.

He created without a trace, ran that show I think for years maybe at the beginning he wasn't the showrunner but he created it

He has a show that is debuting I think probably one or two episodes will have aired by the time you hear this and that show is the last ship on TNT

Which seems wildly different from his other work and I'm really curious about you know this guy who has really it seems to me

had nothing but a really big success at this and the fact that he keeps doing it and keeps

uh... keeps

investing himself in television and wanting to take these long journeys with

characters and worlds and uh... I guess I found it he grew up I think 10 minutes from where I grew up so although we don't know each other I imagine we've had in certain ways similar experience getting to getting to here.

So he'll be here in a couple of seconds and I can't wait to talk to him.
