Gaza, the IDF, poised for the final assault against Raf, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip,

where we are told up to four battalions, intact battalions of the Hamas killers hiding underground

or mixed in with the million or so people camped out above ground.

However, there's a much larger story here than what's going to happen at

Rafa. It has to do with how selective editing has presented a story that is a

fairy tale about the brave and determined Palestinians holding out against, I don't know, some kind

of fantastic dirge that's shown up from the alien universe.

I welcome Victor Davis Hanson of the Hoover Institution,

is going to help me tell this story, not of the fairy tale, but of the detail.

We begin in Damascus, however. This is the capital of Syria.

You will recall that for more than 10 years,

Assad led a murder campaign against his own people

and the region in order to consolidate power in Damascus where the Tehran

regime is his wingmen or the other way around. However, within these last hours there was a significant event that speaks

to Gaza and other parts of the Middle East in flames. That is an air strike, we believe by the

Israelis against the Iranian consulate building between the Canadian embassy and the

Iranian embassy in Damascus and the casualties in the twisted steel and broken concrete included a man named Zahidi who is said to have

been the head of the IRGC Kud's force in Syria and Lebanon.

What does that mean for Gaza? Victor, a very good evening to you.
