I was listening to Nick interviewing someone who I think was in benjamin Netanyahu's

office I was kind of walking into the office upstairs when it was going out over the radio and she

was explaining that some of the concerns

the outside world may have about collective punishment or innocent people in Gaza being

utterly unable to avoid the missiles being rained down upon them. And she was saying that

we don't need to worry because they're

given plenty of warning and they know exactly where the targeted areas will be and there is

absolutely nothing to stop them getting out, not getting out of Gaza, which is close to impossible,

but getting out of the targeted areas. And bizarrely, when I sat down and opened the paper,

I page four of the times, with those words still, that interview is still being conducted on the

radio. I read, the Israeli Air Force is concentrating on, quote, damage, not accuracy, end quotes.

Its chief military spokesman said yesterday,

as jets reduced swathes of Gaza to rubble,

killing hundreds of people.

And that's scary.

That is scary.

When you have an actual military spokesman,

a rear admiral, no less,
