In this episode I brought on a fellow rock star of the art of trying. Broadway and movie star, Renée Marino who you can see as the lead female role in Clint Eastwood’s movie, Jersey Boys. Renée is a frequent co-host with me because she’s an expert in personal development and a master communicator…her book is called, “Becoming A Master Communicator”. As an actress, Renée Marino’s job was trying and failing. You do audition after audition and get told no, until you get told yes. And it’s only one “Yes!” to a movie like Jersey Boys and boom, you’ve made it to the big screen. Renée brought us to looking at whatever we do and go after, any achievement, there is something deeper we are trying to fulfill that gives us space to try and fail or quit many things, on the way to what works, for the ultimate goal we are striving for. If her only goal was to be the lead in one show or movie, that is narrow and limiting. If her goal was to perform, and bigger to entertain, and bigger to communicate, and at the core to communicate, she can do that in so many ways.
