But now Donald Trump is threatening to charge him, wait for it, with inciting violence.

started. Hakeem Jeffries, welcome to defending democracy. To be with you. Man, we are in a fight for our

democracy and you are helping to lead this charge. And like any good leader, you are getting,

you know you're succeeding because Donald Trump is attacking you. Just this morning,

he attacked you for, frankly, something you said that all of the rest of us were cheering

you on, and I'm still cheering you on. You said that we are in an era of maximum warfare

everywhere all the time.

We're going to keep the pressure on Republicans at every single state in the union

to ensure at the end of the day that there is a fair national map

because we believe that it is the people who should decide

who is in the majority in the next Congress,

not Donald Trump and Maga extremists.

So, of course, Donald Trump this

morning posts on his social media platform that you should be charged with inciting violence,

and he puts up a graphic. I assume at this point you're used to it and take this as a sign of

effectiveness, but what do you make of this?

Well, again, Mark, thank you for all of the work that you do in terms of standing up for our democracy,

ensuring that they're free and fair elections, pushing back aggressively against Donald Trump's

unprecedented gerrymandering scheme as part of his effort to rig the November elections.
