Summary
Haiti is the Western Hemisphere's second-oldest republic. At least for now. But as gangs overrun the capital and other cities around the country, the nation’s future is anything but secure. Given that Haiti was once “the most active mission field in the Western Hemisphere,” how did it come to this?
