I think it was pretty shocking and it was something that no one knew how to handle.

Neighbors were surprised and I think grew a little uneasy when there wasn't an immediate arrest.

And when detectives dig deeper, they uncover a web of lies and a love triangle that might have gotten her killed.

Police would have to look at the estranged husband. They would also have to look at the current boyfriend.

Deep in the rustic heart of Frederick County, Maryland, lies the hamlet of Monrovia.

Once upon a time, this sleepy middle-class locale was where farmers came to buy goods and

sell their grain.

Monrovia, when it was originally founded, started up around some sawmills and a flour mill,

and it's kind of slowly transitioned away from that rural history.

These days, the wheat and dairy fields have largely given way to new housing developments

as Monrovia becomes a bedroom community of the nation's capital.

A lot of commuters live there.

It's much more economic to live in a place like Monrovia than it is down closer to Washington, D.C.

It's a nice, quiet area where there are nice, large homes, nice large yards.

People like to move there to raise a family.
