every scribe who's been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new. of podcast with lots of new material reading the scriptures from the heart of the church.

But today I want to go back to the storehouse and bring out some old treasure.

Today we've got the third talk on an old series of mine entitled

answering common objections. This is a series that a number of people have been

asking for ever since we started the podcast. These talks were recorded over 25 years ago.

The series addresses some of the biggest issues that come up for Protestants and others

who are looking into Catholicism. Things like Mary and the Saints, the Pope and the

Eucharist, as well as purgatory. When the earliest of these were given I hadn't yet

published any books, not even Rome Sweet Home. Several of these talks would develop in later years

into some of my more popular books. The truths of the faith never go out of date.

So although I'd have to call this series pretty old, I don't think of it as being

even slightly dated. On today's episode I talk about the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of

Jesus and our Queen Mother.
