Welcome back to plenary session. I'm joined here via Zoom by Dr. Jack West.

Jack West should be no stranger to many of you because we travel in similar circles, the podcasting circle, the oncology podcasting circle.

It's a very small circle. Jack West is, of course, a faculty member at City of Hope. He's a thoracic oncologist, and he's always been a pioneer in digital health and telehealth.

And he is well known for, I think, trenchant and critical commentaries in oncology,

while also remaining, I think, firmly within the fold of thoracic oncology.

And so he navigates that very gracefully.

We're going to talk a little bit about his career, a little bit about digital media,

and then finally about some lung cancer trials, which is my favorite thing.

You're also the digital editor at JAMA Oncology, is that right?

Yeah, that's right.

Since the inception of the journal in around 2014, and it's been a nice trajectory seeing that grow

over the last several years.

Your first podcast was The West Wind. I loved it. I love listening to that podcast. And

your new podcast with Cherawar Agarwal is Beyond the Journal. Right. Yeah, it's, you know, I have to say,

I give you credit for following a format, sticking with it over time, and finding a way to make it feasible, sustainable over time.

Because for us, it's been a labor of love.

We don't do it, you know, don't make money.

We self-fund it.
