Summary

In this episode of The Jordan Syatt Mini-Podcast, I go over the Do's and Don'ts of going to the gym with my podcast producer, Tony. I talk about my first experiences in the gym, my biggest pet peeves, why you should absolutely introduce yourself to the staff when you start out at a new gym, and more. We also discuss the unwritten rules of how and when it's okay to socialize at the gym, when to use collars on your barbells, and why you absolutely should slam the weights down (well, only sometimes). This is a great primer for those starting their fitness journey or just anyone that wants to feel more comfortable at the gym whether you're just starting out or have been going for years. Would you prefer a regular podcast schedule or for podcasts to come out as frequently as I make them? Let Tony know via instagram (@tone_reverie). I hope you enjoy this episode and, if you do, please leave a review on iTunes (huge thank you to everyone who has written one so far). Finally, if you've been thinking about joining The Inner Circle but haven't yet... we have hundreds of home and bodyweight workouts for you and you can get them all here: www.sfinnercircle.com. -J

What's going on? Welcome back to the Jordan's Eye at May. Podcast. Thank you so much for listening.

I don't know what we're talking about today. We've got Tony on the line and we haven't,

0:14.8

I haven't even published the last podcast we did together yet, bro. I need to release that

0:20.0

and the goals one as well. But dude, I'll give you my thoughts on this. I'll give you my thoughts.

0:25.8

Podcasts are long, right? They're long. The ones that I do are usually at least an hour

0:33.6

and the ones with you are usually at least an hour if not more. My idea is if I publish,

0:40.5

I would rather publish once a week, maybe once every 10 days, give as many people as possible a

0:47.3

chance to listen to the whole thing rather than publish like two or three a week. Because I think

0:53.6

then people might get overwhelmed and then miss a fair amount of episodes because they're always

0:58.9

trying to catch up. I don't know. I have no idea. I mean, man, you are so productive. You put out

1:05.6

podcasts at the speed of light. I don't know how you do it, honestly. And then there's all the

1:11.4

podcasts that aren't on your feed but are on someone else's feed. So yeah, there's more content,

1:18.4

I think, than a lot of people could get through. Why don't we ask the listeners? What do they think?

1:23.3

Okay, I like that. Would you prefer as many episodes as Jordan makes? They just come out or would

1:29.9

you prefer, hey, I know every week on Monday, I'm getting, you know, Jordan time.

1:35.2

And yet, even if it's like, it was actually recorded like a month or two months ago. But like,

1:41.4

we're waiting to do it every Monday or whatever day it is. You know what, go message Tony, Tony,

1:48.0

what's your Instagram? It's tone, T-O-N-E underscore, reverie, R-E-V-E-R-I-E.

1:56.7

Okay, perfect. Go message Tony and please tell him if you would prefer, just like, listen, as they're

2:02.8

as they're recorded boom out. So you have more and more and more to listen to or if you'd prefer,

2:07.2

you know, at once a week every Monday or whatever it is that way, you know, because I feel like

2:12.8

most people, and I don't know, this is my assumption, most people, they listen to podcasts and
