| 0:20.6 | I don't even think you're ready. |
| 0:21.6 | No, I'm not ready. |
| 0:22.9 | You're not ready. |
| 0:23.6 | No one is ready for this episode. None of us are ready. I'm Christy. And I'm Sierra. Hey, guys. We've got some stories for you. So take it away, Sierra. What are we talking about? What the heck is on the agenda? So for our main topic today, what we're kind of getting into |
| 0:38.0 | is this whole crazy concept of dating in your 20s. First date's gone wrong. First date's gone |
| 0:44.2 | right. How people met their significant others. Really terrible people you've met and never |
| 0:49.0 | wish to meet again. Errors that you've made. Errs that other people have made. And it's just, |
| 0:55.9 | we, I'm going to say right now, |
| 1:04.0 | we received probably at least 200 listener write-ins over Instagram and email and voice memos. And we listened and read to every single one of them. So if you- It was a wild ride. I spent a couple hours this morning doing it |
| 1:13.4 | and so did Christy. So I'm just going to say, if you wrote into us on any platform, left us a voice |
| 1:18.2 | memo, we read through all of them. And just thank you so much for everything you sent in and for |
| 1:23.5 | bearing your souls and bearing your terrible dates. And thank you for going on those |
| 1:28.9 | crazy dates and enduring those things so we can hear about it and we don't have to experience it. |
| 1:34.2 | Absolutely. We chose some favorites and some of the things that we thought were the most |
| 1:40.3 | outlandish, the most ridiculous, and also some of the most heartwarming as well. So again,, if we didn't choose... You got a mix. Yeah, if you didn't choose yours, don't take it personally. We loved all of them, but we just had to narrow it down and some of the most wild and crazy you get to listen to today. But before we get into that, let's get into the lemon of the week. I feel like we need a little, like... Cute lemon. Yeah, like a lemon sound. Yeah, little lemon sound. |
| 2:04.5 | So for my lemon of the week, it's kind of a big deal. Like nothing in my life has happened like this so far, which sounds dramatic. |
| 2:13.6 | Oh my God, I'm like shaking in my seat. I know. You already know about it. My parents officially put our house on the market this week. So like everything is cleared out. They painted everything. I'm talking about the house I grew up in in Cannon Beach, by the way. And my parents have moved to Bend since then. And they've been planning to sell this house forever. And it's just been a long process with the whole pandemic. and it kind of, I got to just put it off in my head because it kept getting delayed. And now suddenly, they finally cleared everything out and painted and have all these photos up. And it's like on the market for other people to buy. And it's just bizarre to like look at those pictures. And it doesn't even look like my house, you know, like without all our stuff in it. And so it's just a weird mix of feelings. Like I thought I would be overwhelmingly sad and like crying at these things. And maybe if I was there in person with all of our stuff gone, it would be that way. But I'm just like, I don't know. It's just a very odd place to be. Because I also am really happy for my parents because I know this is like the best move for them and they're much happier and bend. |
| 3:11.3 | So it's easy to see the bright side of it. But also it's like I from my mom, I was three months old when I moved into that house and I left when I was 18 to go to college and I've always come back and visited that house and I've never lived anywhere else. So it's just a very strange feeling that it's going to be gone. But, you know, |
