Welcome back to Ask For Me in My House Podcast. I'm Jordan, joined here by the one and only Chad Masters. Chad, how are you man?

0:56.0

I'm doing well. My main goal in life is to redeem the name Chad. There's a really negative stigma. Well-founded, I'll say that around the name Chad, and so I travel from podcast to podcast to try to redeem the name.

1:12.0

I'm doing great. What is the current take of Chad? There's some positive turnaround. It's like someone who's a bro. They're always there for you.

1:26.0

I'm just going to preface that this is obviously not language I like to use daily, but up until recently, if you were to look up the name Chad on Ermadiictionary, it would be defined as typical douchebag frack guy.

1:44.0

I think that about sums it up. If you want to use it in a sentence, it would be don't be a Chad. That would be. I'm familiar with that. That's like, oh, not that I would know, but I'm familiar. That's more of like 2008, 2009.

2:00.0

It's like, actually, you're like a bro, like you're a buddy, you're looking out for me. You're doing the cool man. It's not it's not the girl version of Karen. Karen is like the complainer. I'm going to call manager Chad is just definitely like the he's full of himself.

2:18.0

But I think we're moving beyond that because why are people sleeping on the name Preston? You know, there's like name like Preston or Braxton or Camden or Kate, like what about all these asking for a fight.

2:30.0

And so I do think that Chad will phase out because I think people stopped naming their kids Chad because of the negative stigma. Yeah, Preston or Braxton are definitely the new. Yeah, Braxton Hicks contractions, by the way, are they real? Your wife is six months pregnant. She haven't any of those yet. I don't know.

2:46.0

I don't know what that is.

2:50.0

I don't know.

2:52.0

Well, we promised to keep the the joking to to a minimum here. But yeah, Chad and I get together and it's just it's hard to hold us back.

3:01.0

But no, we're just going to have a fun laid back conversation. Talk a little bit about like what it means to be masculine these days.

3:10.0

Kind of some of our experiences on manhood and biblical manhood cultural manhood that kind of thing.

3:16.0

I don't know if you cut on to my intro where I was trying to set you up a little bit about how I travel from podcast to podcast to redeem the name Chad where Chad had just taken a turn for the worst similar to how I feel like the way people perceive masculinity is the wrong way.

3:34.0

Yeah. And where this podcast will hopefully will scratch the surface and knock on that door through redeem what masculinity can look like as a male.

3:43.0

And so that was the that's that that's great. That totally went over my head. You're right. But I love it. You brought it back.

3:50.0

But yeah, I think there's something in culture that really, you know, there's first off there's an attack on men in general.

3:58.0

There's an attack on woman. There's attack on the family. There's a attack on, you know, community. And we've talked about this before of how like you take the smallest unit of society, the family.
