self-defense and conceal carry and home defense and all sorts of things and of course we're always talking about what's the cool gear what's the newest gear and you know me I'm all about the new gear but only if it has a real purpose because just to add do dads and gizwizizies to your gun without having

a purpose or having a benefit is not just neutral, it's actually detrimental because you start adding things on you start adding complexity.

So what I look for is simple and effective, especially in self-defense type situations. I want something that is simple and effective.

And there really are only a few things you need on a good self-defense gun.

Obviously it's got to have enough power to do the job. It's got to be

accurate enough to do the job. It's got to be reliable. Okay? Pretty simple. And then you need

a good sighting system and that can vary depending on what the product is if you're talking about longer range you may need optics

Short-arrange good iron sights and as you know if you've listen for any length of time you know I have

become a total convert or believer to the whole idea of lasers on self-defense

handguns and now actually on long guns too which is another subject we get into but you

know about okay I'll say it my wife would say it I have a fetish for lights. I love flashlights because frankly your chances of being

in a self-defense situation are that it's more than likely going to be at a low light or

no light. You got to have light. A lot of people aren't going to be at a low light or no light. You got to have light. A lot of people aren't

going to carry a light. So that kind of brings us to our guest right now, which is always

fun to bring in somebody that you enjoy you shot with and kind of

power around with.
