now is a four-time games athlete

including a second-place finish as a 16-year-old and two top 10 finishes as well.

I was gonna say obrigado, but then'm like oh that's how that's how limited my

Portuguese is. In the end I'll say it. I mean hey dude we're just here to kind of have a

casual conversation you know you've been here for years now what four

years? I got here in September 2021 so that's gonna be like two years and something.

Okay feels like a lifetime.

It is.

It feels.

It's crazy.

And but I don't think you know we're doing these kind of sit-downs because I think a lot of times

we get to see you on the competition floor

we get to see in the behind-the-scenes when sometimes the pressure is still high

so this is really just an opportunity to kind of unpack and get to know you a little bit

more and for me that starts really with you

you exploded onto the scene but I still think that like people don't know a whole lot

about your background your upbringing you know obviously we know you're

Brazilian but tell me more you grew up in Rio your Remember that. Yeah, I grew up in Rio.
