| 1:07.2 | emphasis over and over again is to let go of the grasping in the mind, the clinging in the mind. |
| 1:15.0 | Gasping can be done towards things which are healthy and beneficial for the world, |
| 1:22.0 | and grasping can be done with things that are unhealthy and harmful to the world. |
| 1:27.0 | But grasping itself is always harmful to the person who grasps clings attached. |
| 1:35.0 | So when the Buddha emphasized letting go, letting go, |
| 1:38.0 | letting go, it was really letting go the clinging. |
| 1:45.0 | And so in this week they've been looking at grasping, clinging. |
| 1:54.0 | Certainly it helps to see what we're clinging to, what we're holding on to. |
| 1:59.0 | But those are a mirror for doing the deep inner work of letting go. |
| 2:05.0 | So for this meditation, I'd like to encourage |
| 2:09.0 | that it be an ongoing meditation on letting go. Not of anything, but of the grasping to anything that |
| 2:18.7 | arises here for this next, you know, almost 30 minutes that stay very relaxed in the present moment, |
| 2:29.4 | I'll guide you, and then at some point whatever it is that you know that's happening in the present, |
| 2:39.8 | whatever you are aware of, gently, lovingly, release any holding to it. |
| 2:49.2 | Release any preoccupation with it, any fixation, any concern, any lingering with it, any even interest |
| 2:58.4 | and curiosity to it. |
| 3:00.9 | Just let go, let go, let go. And when you let go, something else will come into awareness. |
