Well, good evening. I'm glad to be here with you tonight. I'd like you to open your Bibles to Psalm

Chapter 1. I am surrounded with the fragrance of Pu-Ukini-kini. Is that the best-smelling flower in the world or what?

Isn't that great? God is a genius. It just makes beautiful things. I'm always glad

to come and share with you guys and be with you. As I've mentioned many times before, I feel like our

churches are sort of like kindred spirits in that we both have fresh new work that God's done.

And whenever I come out here,

I just envy you for your walls and air conditioning. Because at our church over at the ranch, we don't

have walls. And so I just am so amazed by the great things God is doing here. And I just,

I just want to thank you as a pastor, not of this church, but just as a pastor of other of God's people.

Thank you for being faithful, you know, to doing what God has called you to do, to sit here

under the influence of the word, to worship the Lord, and to fill this place with the fragrance

of praise, and to support your pastor and the leaders here at the church.

It means more than you can imagine.

And I'm just so glad to be with you tonight. And so this evening, I want to share a couple of things

with you. I want to share Psalms 1 through 3. Psalms 1 through 3 basically how to get blessed,

how to get saved, and how to get by. That's what the theme of these three chapters

are. How to be happy, chapter one, and how to be saved, chapter two, and how to survive.

Chapter three, the third Psalm that we'll look at is really a Psalm and a prayer in trial. And when we

come to the book of Psalms, it's helpful for us to have sort of an introduction,

kind of get a bird's eye view of what God is speaking about here. Of course, the book of

Psalms is the largest book in the Bible. If you happen to drop your Bible or it slipped off

to bed and it opened up, the chances are quite likely that it would open up to Psalms.
