Ryan Gald. I don't really know if his nickname was ever flying, but it always seemed like that was

dudes named Ryan and Brian's nickname when I was a kid.

Galdi, as he's really known to everyone, is a pro racer that's been around for a little while,

and he even got a number five a couple of times, so he's obviously not a slouch on the bike,

which makes me making fun of him while riding with the Helmachem even funnier. If you're under 25, you probably know Ryan from the AMA Arena Cross tour on Speed TV,

where he's the Pitt reporter, the Helma Cam Rider,

and he gives you an idea what it's like to jump the catapult.

He's been around the Canadian Nationals for a long time as a racer and commentator,

so I thought it might be cool to dial him up and talk some Canadian motto with him.

Ryan and I don't really know each other too much, but I think I might be able to call him a friend now.

So please hold the tissues, though.
