get for a while, MDKKTM's Nick Way. He's one of the funniest guys in the pith and has always thought-provoking,

and he always, as the kids say these days, keeps it real. He comes from a great family and always

has time for his fans. How do I know all this? Well, I was his mechanic in 2002. Yes, sir, me and the

NYK were teamed up at Moto Triple X on a Yamaha. And we had a pretty good year, I think,

kind of on a shoestring budget at that. Top private here in the supercross season and top 10 in the

outdoors. And when I look back on that year, I think about all the things that kept him,

kept him going, kept me going. And we just tried to keep on, keeping on. Sinking some of our own money into the deal to keep going, driving my personal van to Millville and pitting out of that

because the triple X rig was out of service. Him almost taking a mid-season ride at Factory

Suzuki and leaving me screwed. Just things like that. The list goes on and on when I think about that year.

A couple years ago he was challenging for the podium on his private tier MDK Honda,

but a thumb injury and then a head injury last summer

have kind of caused them to start from square one again.

Add in a switch to a KTM when the MDK guys brought the orange bikes in,

and you have a rider that's had a lot of change in short order. I'm not sweating it, though. I think

he'll be back to his old forum soon. This podcast turned out pretty well, but I still don't think

it captures his personality as much as I tried to get to do it. He's a real funny guy who's all going. I'm probably like no other guy in the pits.

Oh, well, I tried my best.
