There's been a lot of news this past week and month pertaining to the separation of church and state,

and later in today's program will be interviewing Ryan Valentine, deputy director of the Texas Freedom Network,

about the very flawed approval process last month when the Texas Board of Education approved elective Bible classes

for all public high schools in Texas.

The Austin statesman editorialized that Texas school districts will be wrestling with the legislature's

folly for years to come.

But first, we'll be speaking with the president of Catholics for choice, John O'Brien.

And we all know that not all Catholics are the same.

They're not all as obnoxious as Bill Donahue and some of the self-appointed right-wing

spokespersons for the church.

But we'll be talking with John O'Brien about a new publication from his organization

called Catholics for Choice.
