I'm your host, Gene McCarthy.

I write the blog Unpickled, where I've been telling my story of life after alcohol since my first day of sobriety in 2011.

I really enjoyed the time.

It was very family intensive, and it was one of those things where I got home and needed a vacation to recover from my vacation.

But it's been a really great summer so far, and I hope yours is going well, too.

Today on the podcast, I would like you to meet Jacob Evans.

Jacob is a man in recovery who spends his life now helping others, and he's going to tell us all about what his experience was like before, during, and after the transition in his life.

so I'm glad to hear that it went well. It did. It did. And I get my life is kind of a vacation
